Since Januari 2024 I am an assistant professor at Leiden University in the mathematical institute. Here I work on problems in mathematical machine learning. My main research interests are related to online learning, statistical learning, and optimization. I teach in the bachelor mathematics, master mathematics, and master statistics and data science. In 2023 I was a PostDoc at the University of Amsterdam with dr. Tim van Erven. Before that I spent two years as a PostDoc at Università degli Studi di Milano with Prof.dr. Nicolò Cesa-Bianchi. I obtained my PhD from Leiden University under the supervision of dr. Tim van Erven. In 2024 I obtained a Veni (€320K) that will fund my research for four years.
